Game guide · SHOUJIKON

Know the goal in Sevens

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

Try a more deliberate round

Begin with the basic rule, then follow the result of your action. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

The purpose of your moves

Take a moment to check the current turn. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens.

From the start of a round

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.

A useful example

The board gives you the information needed for the next action. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.

Watch out for this

A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Start a new round when you are ready to try again.
